Apple enters the world of AI ๐ง : Introduces Apple Intelligence ๐๐ฑ.
Apple ๐ฑunveiled Apple Intelligence at WWDC 2024, officially taking the plunge into AI. Unlike standalone AI, Apple Intelligence is built right into existing apps like Mail, Messages ๐ฌ, or Pages ๐. This feature lets you use AI for practical things like โ๏ธ shortening long texts, ๐ correcting errors, and โจ creating content to your specifications.
You can also already create your own ๐งโ๐จ Genmojis (personalized emoticons) and use the Image Playground ๐ผ๏ธ app to generate visuals for messages, keynotes or social media. Siri is also smarter - it can now handle more difficult tasks like ๐ผ๏ธ editing photos or โ๏ธ adding content to messages.
A beta version will launch in the U.S. this fall ๐บ๐ธ with English support. This will be followed by a global rollout in 2025. However, Apple Intelligence is only available on newer devices such as the iPhone 15 Pro ๐ฑand iPad Pro ๐ฒ. What about you? Are you excited about this news ๐?ย

OpenAI raises the bar and the prices ๐: $2,000 a month for the latest AI models ๐ค๐ป?
OpenAI is reportedly planning high-end subscriptions for their new models like the GPT-o1 ๐ง (which we'll talk more about), focused on reasoning, and Orion ๐ (the planned successor to GPT-4).ย
Pricing could reach up to $2,000 ๐ธ per month - compared to the current $20 for ChatGPT Plus, that's quite a jump ๐ง. These models are enhanced through "post-training", making them smarter at special tasks ๐ ๏ธ. This would allow businesses and professionals to use AI for more complex problem solving ๐ข๐ค.ย
However, the question arisesโ- will this pricing policy make advanced AI tools unaffordable for most users? ๐ค What do you think?

Klarna says goodbye to its SaaS providers ๐ค: AI replaces Salesforce and Workday ๐ค๐.
Klarna (a Swedish fintech company ๐ธ๐ช that provides a buy-now, pay-later (BNPL) payment option for online shoppers ๐๏ธ) has recently decided to part ways ๐ค with its SaaS providers, namely Salesforce (a customer relationship management platform) and soon Workday (human capital and financial management software). Why you ask ๐ค?ย
This move is part of their effort to simplify their tech outfit with AI ๐ค. With AI, Klarna can set operations on "autopilot" ๐ ๏ธ and rely less on external software vendors. This shift will not only speed things up โฉ but also reduce costs, leading to fewer employees ๐ฅ (which is both an advantage and a disadvantage ๐คทโโ๏ธ).
With the help of AI, Klarna can focus on more flexible solutions ๐ง and react faster to market changes ๐. In this way, it sets the "stage" to stay in the game in the rapidly changing fintech "playground" ๐๏ธ, while increasing its profits ๐.

Replit Agent๐: an AI tool that can do more than just write code ๐ค๐ป?
Replit has just launched Replit Agent ๐ค, a tool designed to make developers' lives easier throughout the software development process.ย
Unlike conventional AI tools for developers, Replit Agent goes one step further ๐ - it not only writes code ๐ป, but handles entire projects, from coding to deployment. You can describe your project in plain English ๐ฃ๏ธ and Replit Agent will generate working code, making it user-friendly for beginners, but also valuable for experienced developers ๐จโ๐ป.
Its real superpower is that it learns from real data ๐ and improves with every use. Replit Agent is ideal for rapid prototyping ๐ ๏ธ, collaboration ๐ค and streamlining software development tasks. Plus, it's designed to collaborate with you in real-time โฑ๏ธ and make adjustments based on your feedback ๐.ย
This kind of support is completely game changing ๐ฎ for entire teams and individuals alike. And what do you think about it ๐ค?

Model o1: The future of AI from OpenAI ๐ง ๐?
And finally, the most interesting story for the end ๐คฉ. OpenAI just launched a new "family" of AI models called "o1" (formerly under the pseudonym "Strawberry ๐"), which are launching with two versions: o1-preview and o1-mini ๐.
These models aim to handle more complex tasks than previous GPT models, especially in domains such as science, technology and healthcare ๐ง ๐ฌ. The o1-preview model is designed for high-level reasoning ๐งโ๐ฌ, with performance up to PhD level in domains such as physics and biology ๐ฒ๐, making it very suitable for experts solving complex problems.
The o1-mini version is a smaller and cheaper version ๐ก, still very smart when it comes to math and programming ๐ป and 80% cheaper ๐ธ. Both models bring big improvements, especially in how they follow safety rules and avoid inappropriate outputs ๐.
OpenAI plans to continuously update the o1 models with new tweaks, such as web browsing ๐ or file uploading ๐. In our opinion, these new models are a total blast ๐, what do you think? ๐
